Smart glasses put pictures and words right on top of what you're seeing in real life, like a special kind of window that shows both the real world and digital stuff at the same time.
Imagine you’re wearing smart glasses, and you look at the street. Right there, on your view of the street, you see directions or messages popping up, just like when you watch a cartoon and the characters have thought bubbles above their heads!
How It Works
Smart glasses have tiny screens in them that are very close to your eyes. These screens show digital information, like maps, messages, or videos, right where you're looking.
These glasses also have sensors, like little helpers that know when you move your head or look around. They work together with the screens so what you see on the glass matches up perfectly with what’s in front of you, just like when you play a game and the screen moves as you move your phone!
Sometimes they even use cameras to understand what's happening around you, kind of like how your phone knows it's taking a picture of you when you hold it up.
Examples
- A child sees animated characters appear on a park bench while reading a storybook.
- A shopper gets price comparisons shown directly over the products in a store.
- A runner gets directions and heart rate stats floating above the street.
