Fish sleep just like we do, but they don’t fall to the bottom of the ocean. Some fish float near the surface while others hover in place by using special parts of their bodies called gills or fins. It's like sleeping on a soft bed, they stay awake enough to keep floating!
Examples
- A goldfish floats near the top of its bowl while it sleeps, just like you float on a bed.
- A sea turtle rests on the ocean floor, but it doesn't fall to the bottom because it holds itself up with its legs.
