Why It Matters
In some countries, you just need more votes than anyone else to win. In others, people have special rules, like needing two-thirds of the votes to take control of a whole country. Even though they look different, these elections help decide who leads their people.
Examples
- In another place, people cheer for the candidate they like the most.
- Sometimes, if no one wins clearly, there’s a second round where only two candidates compete.
