Bees use a special kind of map in their heads to find their way back home. When they fly out to get nectar, they look at the sun and remember where it is. They also count how many steps they take and notice things like flowers around them. When they come back, they match what they see with their memory so they know exactly where to go.
Examples
- A bee sees a flower near the hive and remembers it as a landmark.
- It counts its steps as it flies out to get nectar.
- When it returns, it uses the same flower as a guide back home.
