Bees use a special kind of dance to tell other bees where the best food is. When a bee finds a lot of flowers nearby, it goes back to the hive and does a little waggle dance. The way it dances tells the others how far away the flowers are and which direction they’re in. It’s like giving directions through movement!
Examples
- Another bee sees a long waggle run and knows there’s a big patch of flowers far away in the field.
- The whole hive starts buzzing with excitement after one bee gives a perfect dance about a sweet, sunny meadow nearby.
