The Roman Empire had to earn and save money so it could go on big adventures called wars.
Imagine you're playing a game with your friends, and every time you want to buy a new toy or a bigger ball, you have to use the coins you saved from selling lemonade or doing chores. That’s kind of how the Romans did it.
How They Earned Money
The Roman Empire had lots of soldiers who went on long trips to fight other people. When they won battles, they brought back treasure, like gold and silver, which was like getting extra coins from your piggy bank. Sometimes, they also took over new lands or cities, and those places started sending the Romans taxes, like when you have to give a little bit of your allowance to buy more candy for everyone.
How They Saved Money
The emperors would save some of that money in big vaults, kind of like super-sized piggy banks. This saved-up money was used to pay the soldiers and build cool things like roads, bridges, and even buildings. That way, Rome could keep fighting new battles and growing bigger!
