From Handmade to Super Fast
Before the Industrial Revolution, things like clothes or toys were made one at a time, just like when you make a drawing with crayons, slow and personal. But during the Industrial Revolution, big machines in factories started making lots of things quickly, like how a printer makes copies of your picture all at once.
People Moved to Cities
Because factories were built in cities, many people left their farms and moved into towns and cities to work in these new places. This was like moving from a quiet backyard to a busy playground, more people, more noise, and more chances to play with others.
Work Became More Common for Kids
Many children also started working in factories because they could fit through small spaces between machines. It wasn’t always fun, it was hard work, but it helped families earn money and live better lives.
