Like a Big Leader in a Crowd
Why They Stayed in Power
These early monarchs didn’t just rule by saying cool things. They often had help from priests or warriors, who made people believe the monarch was chosen by gods. If a monarch did something amazing, like winning a big battle, people thought it was because of their divine connection. That’s why they kept following them.
So, early monarchies began with one strong person who had a special story or power, and people believed in that story, just like you might believe the kid who can make it rain candy!
Examples

- A strong person becomes the head of a group because they can fight well.
