Ancient Rome gave us rules for running cities and countries, just like a playground has rules so everyone can play fair.
Imagine you're in a big school with hundreds of kids, that's like Ancient Rome. The emperor was like the principal, but sometimes there were also senators who helped make decisions, like class representatives. This is how modern governments work too: we have leaders and people who help them decide things.
Like a Big Playground with Rules
Rome had laws, which are like rules that everyone has to follow. If you break the rules, there might be a consequence, just like if you don’t clean up after yourself in the playground, you get extra chores!
Also, Rome used something called legions, big groups of soldiers who protected the city. That’s kind of like having a team of superheroes who keep everything safe.
From Rome to Today
Many countries today have presidents, senates, and even laws that came from ideas Ancient Rome had. It's as if Rome sent its best friends, rules and leaders, all around the world so we could play nicely together!
