How did ancient Egyptian pharaohs build the Great Pyramids of Giza?

The Great Pyramids of Giza were built by ancient Egyptian pharaohs using big stones and a lot of teamwork.

Pharaohs were like bosses, they made sure everything got done. They had workers, who were like helpers, and sometimes even slaves, who were people who had to work a lot.

Like Building with Blocks

Imagine you're building a tower out of blocks. That’s kind of what the workers did, but with really big stones, some as heavy as a car!

They used ramps, like long, sloping roads, to move the stones up to the top of the pyramid. It was like pushing a big toy truck up a hill.

A Big Team Effort

Each pyramid took many years to build. People worked together, day after day, using simple tools like ropes and levers, which are like long sticks that help you lift heavy things easier.

They also used sledges, like little wagons, to move the stones across the ground. Sometimes they even poured water on the sand to make it slippery, so the sledges could glide along more easily!

It was a huge project, but with teamwork and clever ideas, the pharaohs made some of the most amazing buildings in the world!
