Stars are like giant, glowing balls of gas that live and die over millions of years. When a big cloud of space stuff called gas and dust comes together, it starts to spin and heat up until it becomes a bright star, just like when you blow on a fire to make it bigger! Later in life, stars can explode in a fiery event called a supernova, sending out bits of themselves into space. These bits help make new stars and even planets, including Earth!
Examples
- When a star dies, it can explode like a fireworks show and scatter pieces into space.
- These scattered bits from dying stars can form new stars or even planets.
