How are scientists searching for signs of extraterrestrial life?

Scientists are like detectives looking for clues that aliens might have left behind.

Imagine you’re playing hide and seek, and you want to know if your friend is hiding in the house, you listen for footsteps, peek under doors, or check for a note they might have left. Scientists do something similar but on a much bigger scale.

Sometimes scientists look at the air around faraway planets, if they find chemicals like oxygen or methane, it could mean there’s life there too! It's like checking if a plant is alive by seeing if it breathes or changes color.

They also send robots to other places in our solar system, like Mars, to dig and see what might be hiding under the ground, just like digging for treasure!
