Roads are like big paths that cars and people can travel on, made step by step just like building a toy block tower.

First, they dig up the ground to make space for the road, it’s like digging a hole in your sandbox to make room for a new castle. Then, they put down layers of special materials, kind of like stacking soft pillows and hard bricks under your bed to make it comfy. The bottom layer is usually gravel, which helps drain water away.

Next, they add a smoother layer on top, it’s like putting on a nice blanket so the road feels even and strong. Finally, they paint lines and put up signs, just like you draw roads on paper with crayons to guide your toy cars.

Sometimes, they use big machines that look like giant scoops of ice cream to move the dirt and rocks, it’s like having a robot helper who does all the hard work for you!
