AI models create realistic images and videos by learning from lots of pictures and movies, just like how you learn to draw by looking at other drawings.
Imagine you're drawing a cat, but you've never seen one before. You might guess it has four legs, whiskers, and ears, maybe even copy what you see on TV or in books. AI models do something similar, but they use super powerful computers to look at millions of images and videos.
How It Works
AI starts with a big collection of pictures, like a giant photo album. The model looks at each picture carefully, trying to figure out patterns, like how colors fit together or how shapes move from one frame to the next.
Once it learns these patterns, it can create new images or videos by mixing and matching what it has learned, just like you might mix red and blue paint to make purple. It uses this knowledge to guess what a cat might look like, or even how a person moves when they walk.
Sometimes, the AI gets so good that its drawings are almost as realistic as real photos! And just like you get better at drawing with practice, AI models keep improving by learning more and more every day.
Examples
- A program uses patterns it learned to make a video of a car driving on the road, even though it’s never seen one before.
