Ep. 1 | What Is Moderation?

Moderation is when you choose just the right amount of something, not too much, not too little.

Imagine you're eating your favorite snack, like chocolate chips. If you eat one, it's nice. If you eat ten, that’s a lot of fun! But if you eat a hundred, you might feel sick. Moderation is like choosing how many chocolate chips to eat, enough to be happy, but not so many that you’re uncomfortable.

What moderation feels like

Think about playing on the swings. If you push yourself just right, you go high and have fun. But if you swing too hard, you might fall off! Moderation is like finding that perfect swing, not too fast, not too slow.

Why moderation matters

Sometimes people think more is always better. But sometimes too much can be a problem. Like when you drink a lot of juice, it tastes good at first, but then your tummy feels full or even hurts. Moderation helps you enjoy things without going overboard, so you can keep having fun every day! Moderation is when you choose just the right amount of something, not too much, not too little.
