Do atoms exist?

Atoms are the tiny building blocks that make up everything around us, including you!

Imagine you have a big Lego tower made out of 100 small Legos. If you could zoom in really close, you’d see each Lego is actually made up of even smaller pieces, like tiny, invisible mini-Legos. That’s kind of what atoms are: the smallest parts that make up everything we can touch or see.

Like a Super Small Puzzle

Think about a puzzle. Each piece fits together to make a bigger picture. Atoms are like those puzzle pieces, but instead of being colored shapes, they're super small and move around. When you mix things together, like chocolate milk, the atoms from the chocolate and the milk are mixing too!

You’re Full of Atoms

Your body is made up of atoms from everything you’ve ever eaten or touched. Every time you play with toys or run around, those tiny atom-pieces are working hard to keep your body moving and growing.

So even though we can’t see atoms, they're all around us, just like the invisible glue that holds things together! Atoms are the tiny building blocks that make up everything around us, including you!
