How Healing Works
When you get a cut or bruise, your body sends tiny helpers called cells to fix the damage. These cells are like workers in a construction team, they come in, do their job, and then go home. In adults, this process usually takes a few days.
But sometimes, like after a big injury or even when you're very young, your body works extra hard, it’s like having extra workers on the job site, so everything gets fixed much faster!
What If We Could Upgrade?
Scientists are studying how some animals, like lizards, can grow back entire tails. They want to know if humans could one day do something similar, maybe even regrow a finger or heal from a broken bone in just a few days.
It's not magic, it’s more like getting an upgrade for your body's repair team!
Examples
- A person loses an arm but grows it back after a few weeks.
