Why Did Bronze Collapse So Suddenly?

Imagine if every country in the world stopped trading and fighting at the same time. That happened about 3,200 years ago. We call it the Bronze Age Collapse.

The Big Crash

For hundreds of years, kings ruled big palaces. They traded gold, tin, and bronze weapons all around the Mediterranean Sea. It was like a giant family reunion where everyone shared toys.

Then something went wrong. People started moving. Some came from far away lands across the sea. We call them the Sea Peoples. They pushed others into crowded areas.

Why Did It Happen?

Scientists think dry weather hurt their crops. No food means people get hungry and angry. Hungry people leave their homes to find better places. As they moved, they took down big cities.

The kings lost power because their shops ran out of goods. Without imports, bronze weapons became rare. People learned to use iron instead. Iron was cheaper and stronger. Eventually, the old ways died out completely.
