You can feel hungry even when your tummy is full because sometimes your brain says, "I want more!"
Imagine you're eating your favorite snack, maybe cookies or pizza. Your stomach gets full, but your brain still thinks about the first bite and wants another one. It’s like when you’re playing with your favorite toy, and even though you’re tired, you don’t want to stop because it's too fun.
Why Does This Happen?
Your brain and your stomach work together, but not always in the same way. Your stomach tells your brain when it’s full, like a bell ringing to say, "Time to stop eating!" But sometimes your brain doesn’t listen. It's like having two friends who both want different things: one says, "Let’s go home," and the other says, "Let’s play more!"
Sometimes your brain wants more because of how something tastes or looks, even if you’re already full. That’s why you might eat a whole bag of chips even though your tummy is already full, it just feels good!
Examples
