You can find out if you're a supertaster by doing a simple test that shows how sensitive your tongue is, like tasting different things and seeing which ones you notice the most.

The test uses special paper strips with tiny dots of flavor on them. You put one on your tongue, and it mixes with saliva to make the taste stronger. If you're a supertaster, you’ll feel the flavor much more intensely than someone who isn’t, kind of like how some kids notice the difference between sweet and sour candy right away, while others take longer to tell them apart.

Your tongue has little bumps called taste buds. Some people have more of these bumps than others. If you’ve got a lot, your tongue is like a detective who can catch every tiny clue, making flavors feel extra strong and vivid, just like when you bite into a juicy grape and it feels like the flavor explodes in your mouth.
