The Commonwealth is like a big club that many countries join to be friends and help each other out.
Imagine you have a group of best friends at school. You all hang out together, share snacks, and sometimes even team up for a game against another class. The Commonwealth is kind of like that, but with countries instead of kids.
How the Club Works
When a country joins the Commonwealth, it's like signing up to be in the club. They agree to follow some simple rules, like being fair to each other and helping if someone needs help. But they don’t have to do everything together, they can still be different in many ways, just like how you and your friends can all have different favorite snacks but still be besties.
The Leader of the Club
There's a leader who helps run things, called the Head of the Commonwealth. Right now, that’s Queen Elizabeth II. She's like the principal of the school, she helps keep everything friendly and organized, but she doesn’t have to make all the rules.
So, the Commonwealth is just a big, friendly club where countries help each other out, like kids sharing snacks at lunchtime.
